The ContiSportContact 5 SSR is Continental’s Max Performance Summer run-flat tire designed to provide temporary extended mobility in case of complete air loss due to a puncture. ContiSportContact 5 SSR tires are designed to combine short braking distances and good cornering traction with reduced fuel consumption and good treadwear. However like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

ContiSportContact 5 SSR tires permit drivers to remain mobile in the event of a flat tire by allowing them to reach their destination or tire service facility without having to replace a flat tire with the spare tire. The ContiSportContact 5 SSR’s reinforced sidewall enables the car to continue on its way at a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h) for up to 50 miles (80 km), depending on road conditions and vehicle weight
